I began freelancing with Dayspring in February 2022, where I’ve had the opportunity to design a wide range of calendars each year. My process starts with sourcing images from stock libraries that align with each theme. Once selections are approved, I edit the photos in Adobe Photoshop to ensure a cohesive, high-quality look. After that, I put everything together in the calendar template via InDesign, adjusting typography and color to match the overall theme. I work closely with the freelance calendar team and the art director, participating in weekly meetings to review concepts, exchange feedback, and discuss deadlines. Each year, I’ve improved my workflow. I’m faster and more intentional with image selection, and I spend less time fixing things later because I catch details earlier in the process. Overall, it’s been a great experience for my growth as a designer, and I feel like I’ve become much more efficient and confident in my process. I’m excited to keep building on that moving forward.
